Korean Sheet Masks and E.L.F. Lippies

I’ve always considered myself arte. I’d been the little girl who chose princesses and castles over restaurants and toy-cooking. I remember having one of those cute and extremely extravagant (for a 5 or 6 year old) make-up treasure chests. It had lipsticks of different colors (I loved the blue one),  glittery eyeshadow and various iridescent blushes. However, all that obsession eventually became books and music. I’d rather spend on books than clothes, tbh.

Still, when I heard about Korean sheet masks, I knew I had to try them. They looked so rejuvenating and relaxing to wear! So I set out and looked for the most budget-friendly ones in the market. I found that Etude has a whole section of sheet masks to choose from and they had specific masks for specific purposes. For example, their masks for moisturizing differ from the masks that supposedly brighten your complexion.

My friend Chutie and I looked through their section and decided to try the following: The Hyaluronic Acid masks, The Strawberry, and the Lemon masks. After buying them, we spent a night trying them on. If you want to watch us struggle, you can check out our vlog on Nextbeat here. Needless to say, we had fun. The Lemon and Strawberry masks were amazing and left our faces feeling fresh and, true to their purpose, rejuvenated. The Hyaluronic masks are great for moisturizing. I sometimes get really dry skin and these masks have always made me feel at least 75% better.

Now, I also received an E.L.F. lip kit and we also tried them. I don’t have photos or a video stream because it kind of ended up messy (lol). One thing I noticed about these products is how shiny and glossy they leave your lips looking. I’m into matte finishes and they just didn’t work for me. The colors are amazing, though! They also last long. My only concern remains to be the glitter they had. By the end of it, I realized how much of a Nyx Soft Matte Lip-Girl I am. (I love Nyx!!!)

Anyway, that’s it for the make-up haul I got. I think I learned a lot from these try-outs and swatches. If you’re into the whole glossy look, e.l.f. lippies are definitely for you.
