GMarket Is Now on foodpanda Shops, Making Grocery Runs Easier for Dabawenyos

For many Dabawenyos, Gaisano Market (GMarket) has been part of everyday life for years. Whether it’s a quick grocery run, last-minute dinner ingredients, or household essentials, it’s one of those familiar places many of us have grown up with.

Now, there’s a new way to shop.

GMarket has officially joined foodpanda Shops, allowing customers across Davao City to order groceries and everyday essentials directly through the foodpanda app. It’s the supermarket’s first venture into app-based grocery delivery—a move that reflects how grocery shopping continues to evolve alongside our increasingly digital lifestyles.

For busy professionals, parents juggling errands, or anyone who simply wants to skip the traffic, it offers another convenient option for stocking up without leaving home.

A Homegrown Davao Supermarket Goes Digital

For nearly three decades, GMarket has built a loyal customer base in Davao. Its arrival on foodpanda Shops combines that local familiarity with the convenience of on-demand delivery.

“Davao is a thriving hub for digital adoption, and bringing a trusted household name like GMarket onto foodpanda Shops is a game-changer for local shoppers,” said Joseph Wijesekera, Director of Q-Commerce at foodpanda Philippines.

“We aren’t just delivering groceries—we’re making everyday living simpler and more affordable by connecting Davaoeños to the local brands they’ve relied on for generations.”

For GMarket, the partnership is about making grocery shopping more accessible to the customers who have supported the brand over the years.

According to Patricia Gaisano, Marketing Manager at GMarket, joining foodpanda allows the supermarket to meet customers wherever they are while continuing to provide the reliability families have come to expect.

A Small Gesture That Stood Out

To celebrate the launch, GMarket fulfilled its ceremonial first order through foodpanda.

The order was randomly assigned to Ka-panda rider Johannah Ranera, who initially thought it was a regular grocery delivery. Instead, she was surprised to learn that the groceries were actually a gift from foodpanda and GMarket—a simple gesture of appreciation for the riders who help deliver everyday essentials to homes across Davao.

It’s a small moment, but one that highlights the people who make grocery delivery possible behind the scenes.

Another Grocery Option for Dabawenyos

With GMarket now available on foodpanda Shops, Dabawenyos have another convenient option when it comes to grocery shopping—whether you’re replenishing pantry staples, picking up household essentials, or simply trying to avoid an extra trip to the supermarket.

Launch promotions are currently available through the foodpanda app, making it a good time to try the service if you haven’t already.
