There’s a difference between a cafe reopening and a cafe evolving.
Coffee Co. marked its fifth anniversary last January 16, 2026 with a quiet but meaningful rebrand. They refreshed their logo, tweaked their menu, and introduced new options that feel less like a reset and more like a natural next step.
Since Coffee Co. has always believed coffee tastes better when shared with good company, I took that as my cue to invite my friend Justine out for brunch at their Buhangin branch, the one designed for lingering instead of quick pickups.
A Familiar Cafe, Now With More Thoughtful Choices
For those new to Coffee Co., they currently have two Davao branches:
- Buhangin branch at Caltex Gas Station, Km. 5, built for dine-in and slow mornings
- Dacudao branch at DV6 Compound, Dacudao corner Veloso Street, designed more for grab-and-go
I’ve loved their meals and desserts since 2023, so I was curious what this anniversary update would actually feel like in person.
What stood out immediately was how the changes focused on experience rather than gimmicks.
You Can Now Choose Your Coffee Beans

One of the biggest updates is the option to choose which beans your coffee is brewed with. It sounds small, but it changes how personal your cup can feel.
Intenso
- 80:20 Arabica to Robusta blend
- medium-dark roast
- fuller body, bolder flavor
Calma
- 100 percent Mt. Apo Arabica
- medium roast
- smoother profile with gentle acidity
If you prefer strong, classic cafe-style coffee, Intenso leans that direction. If you want something softer and more nuanced, Calma offers a calmer, more aromatic cup. It’s a thoughtful addition that nudges Coffee Co. closer to specialty cafe territory while still staying approachable.
New Mix and Match Deals for Everyday Brunch Runs
They also introduced Mix and Match options, where adding a drink to any meal gives you a 10 peso discount.
It’s simple, practical, and honestly fits how people already order. Most of us rarely get just food or just coffee. This update quietly rewards the combo you were going to choose anyway.
What We Ordered at Coffee Co. Buhangin

For brunch, Justine and I went for a mix of savory and drinks:
- BN Bowl
- Grilled Cheese
- Lasagna
- Malt Latte
- Yamonade
The food stayed consistent with what I’ve liked about Coffee Co. since 2023. Comforting, filling, and reliable without trying too hard to be trendy. The Malt Latte felt indulgent enough for brunch, while the Yamonade added something lighter and refreshing to balance everything out.
More than the menu, what stuck with me was the atmosphere. Throughout our stay, we saw people starting their day, working quietly, meeting friends, and picking up their usual drinks. You could feel that Coffee Co. wasn’t just serving coffee. It was hosting a daily rhythm for the neighborhood.
Is Coffee Co.’s Rebrand Worth Checking Out?

If you already loved Coffee Co., the rebrand feels like a thoughtful upgrade rather than a dramatic change. You still get the comfort food, familiar drinks, and welcoming vibe, now with more control over your coffee and a slightly refreshed identity.
If you haven’t been yet, the Buhangin branch is a good place to start. Come for brunch, choose your beans, and stay long enough to notice how many people treat it like their regular spot.
If you visit, tell me which bean you picked. I’m curious whether you went bold with Intenso or kept it smooth with Calma.
