I’m someone who grew up eating my mum’s brownies and revel bars. Later on, I learned how to make them myself. I think this is what set the standard for all sweets I’ve tasted since. I’m actually someone who isn’t that much of a sweet tooth but once a dessert hits that standard, I swear, I’m converted.

One desserts place that I’ve come to love (no bias, promise!) is Desserts by Kay. It’s owned by one of my closest friends and she opened it exactly a year ago this month!

In fact, she’s holding an anniversary sale this month, including a giveaway and even weekend sales. Last Tuesday, she messaged me about sending over a box of 24 assorted bars. I was beyond thrilled. I love her Dark Chocolate brownies!

An order of 24 bars can come in one single box like the one she sent over, or you can opt for two separate boxes (just in case you want to share the other 12… if that’s your thing LOL).

Desserts By Kay’s new boxes are actually custom-made by Witty Hands. I personally found the box very easy to open, convenient and of course, pleasing to the eyes. They accept orders, too! There is a lead time of 2-3 days, though, so make sure to book ahead.

Okay, if you’re still reading, I’m pretty sure you’re wondering what my verdict is on Desserts By Kay’s assorted bars box, so here it is:

First off, I have to mention how beautiful and well-thought out the packaging and arrangement is. I mean, look at this:

Second, I was surprised to learn that I now have a love for blondies. I love the bar’s texture and taste. The buttery taste just coats your tongue and makes you reach for more. Seriously, not even kidding.

The Dark Chocolate Brownies are, as usual, soooooo indulgent. The light crust outside makes you enjoy different textures in a single bite. A bit of crunch with a lot of soft and fudgy bites made me so happy. Because I’m a fatty, I added a bit of vanilla ice cream to an already indulgent treat! Haha.

Lastly, the Revel Bars with Walnuts are so good. I love how the chocolatey taste doesn’t overpower the entire bar. The walnuts are definitely a great bonus to the treat since it gives a different texture, as well as an additional flavor.
