I think almost everyone in Davao knows about Davao Crocodile Park & Zoo. It’s a staple for almost at least one childhood fieldtrip, family trip or just a place you went to to visit Pangil, the largest crocodile in the Philippines.
Davao Digital Influencers was invited to a day with our favorite wildlife animals and we got to experience and reminisce all the fun times we had in the park.
Growing up, I remember it always being big and amazing. I was scared of Pangil, got thrilled when they started doing the crocodile feedings, and always had fun when going to the park. It’s pretty iconic.
It’s changed a lot since I last went. All for the better and still great fun. I met their new rescued and donated animals. I met two lions, and a couple of tigers. I met an orangutan, fed an ostrich and a couple of koi fish, and became terrified when a toucan flew over my head. It was amazing!
I was also happy to see that they implemented all safety protocols and made sure that guests maintain social distance, provided basins and soap for frequent handwashing, and checked temperatures.
