Coca-Cola’s Green Initiative with Winder Recycling Company

Did you know that one of COCA-COLA Philippines‘ goals is to collect, recycle & reuse every single bottle they’ve released by 2030?

This initiative for a #WorldWithoutWaste makes way for a more sustainable use of the PET bottles they use for their products. The collected bottles will then be recycled into different items such as benches, bins and etc. Coca Cola Mindanao partnered up with Winder Recycling Company to create more benches and bins which have been scattered around 27 parks in the Davao Region.

One bench makes use or 300 PET bottles, a bin makes use of 600 and this initiative really makes us think about all the ways we can recycle the things we use everyday.

The #BetterBottleChallenge is another movement by Coca Cola Ph to show people that it really isn’t that hard to put our used plastics in their proper bins. The problem of environmental waste is more evident today than it ever has been. Everyday we receive news that proves that the Earth we live in isn’t the same as it was a mere decade ago. It is our responsibility as its inhabitants to start cleaning up after ourselves and opting for more sustainable options. The less waste we make, the better our chances for survival. It simply isn’t a matter of “let’s make the environment better for our children” but more of an “Act now before it’s too late” kind of thing.

So, let’s choose better options for the environment, you hear? 💕

If you have any questions about recycling, upcycling or donating your used plastic bottles, don’t hesitate to leave me a message! Let’s all work together!
