The Red Tomato

Here’s another restaurant to try this Valentine season: The Red Tomato. Located at the Shoppes at Woodlane in Ma-a, this European-themed restaurant will surely impress your tastebuds with their delectable and truly delicious dishes.

The Red Tomato came from same team behind Rossini Ristorante Italiano at S’Maison Conrad Hotel Manila. We met the owner, Mr. Thomas Moershiem, who is an engineer by profession but a restauranteur by passion. As each dish was served, he explained and described it in detail. It was evident that he is incredibly passionate in his work.

Here are dishes we were able to try:

The Antipasti:

-Hummus
-Onion Fries
-Al Cinque Formaggi
-Pizza Rotola
-Pumpkin Soup

Primi:
-Paella Roja
-Risotto Funghi Porcini
-Pasta Cartoccio

Secondi:

-Lengua con Setas
-Osso Buco
-Beef Kebab

Dolci:
-Different cakes and desserts
-Tiramisu

I am someone who loves and appreciates appetizers & their antipasti definitely made me more interested to try all the other dishes. I particularly liked the Pizza Rotola, the Onion Fries and the Pumpkin Soup.

I am a self-confessed amateur at tasting Paella, due to the fact that I’m allergic to shellfish. I really enjoyed their Paella Roja. All the ingredients seem to bring a different flavour to the dish and made it all the more delectable.

Their risotto is hands down one of the best ones I’ve tasted so far. This one may have converted me into eating the dish. Being that it has mushrooms is a feat because I’m incredibly picky but I can honestly vouch for this dish. It’s buttery & overall incredible. I’m not really an expert in Risotto but the ones I’ve tried before have resulted in me never ordering it so this recommendation is still pretty valid. ( I think! 😅😂)

All of the dessert were delicious but what stood out was their Tiramisu. 😋
