What I Love About Cocio

What I Love About Cocio

Cocio is a chocolate drink that is produced by a Dutch company by the same name. The company was started by Mr. Anker Pallesen and his wife in 1951. Back then, the chocolate drink was only manufactured in his kitchen. His goal was to create the world’s best chocolate drink.

I’ve always wondered what it tasted like. Luckily, Cocio sent a couple of packages to DDI. I received mine two weeks ago and upon receiving it, I knew I’d love it. Here’s a list of why I love this chocolate drink:

  1. It’s UTZ Certified.

UTZ Certification stands for sustainable farming and better opportunities for farmers, their families and the planet.

There’s nothing better than knowing the product you’re enjoying helps farmers and sustainable farming and not just benefits multi-million dollar companies, don’t you think?

2. It’s so good—- with anything!

I’m honestly more of a soda kind of girl but after trying Cocio with different things (french fries, pancakes, ramen, dumpings, and potato chips), I’m convinced I’m on to something. Cocio goes well with almost everything!

3. It’s so pretty!

I don’t know about you guys but I sometimes think a bit too much about the products’ designs. I love how classic and retro Cocio’s bottle feels. The engraved name and the colors make me feel like I’m a 60s girl.

4. You can bring it anywhere.

The Cocio bottle is pretty easy to bring. The fact that it’s cute is a bonus. You can bring it to work, school, events, or even meetings. Pop a paper straw or a reusable one to add flair to your sipping.

5. It tastes amazing.

Cocio’s simple. It’s created with 3 simple ingredients: cocoa, milk and sugar. Yet I can’t understand how rich it tastes with only those three ingredients. I like how the taste makes me nostalgic of my childhood. I honestly don’t know why, but it does. Any drink that makes me nostalgic is always a good one for me.

Also: I’m pretty sure they’ve got some secret ingredient like Colonel Sanders’ 11 spices and herbs, y’all.
