A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the launching of foodpanda. Admittedly, I was one of the more eager ones during the launch. I was interested in seeing how it worked and if it really did make things easier.
Just last Saturday, I was witness to how fast foodpanda is. I was hungry and tired of the usual food fares near work and remembered the voucher they gave us. I then went on the app and proceeded with my order.
The rate and accuracy of how long it would take to get the order is fascinating. I can honestly say that (at least during my order), foodpanda was eerily accurate with their time estimates.
I chose to order from Sea Green Cafe because I haven’t tried any of their food yet and it looked delicious.

Sure enough, 29 minutes later, their driver, Jefty, came to the delivery address. He was courteous and more than willing to accommodate my silly picture-taking.
After paying, I rushed to the office and opened the package. The food was still hot and it seemed like I just ordered it from the restaurant, as well.

I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Fried Quesong Puti Sticks, Nutella Stuffed French Toast & a Lemon Cream Tart. As mentioned, the food arrived hot.
The first thing I tasted was the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I love Grilled Cheese. If I could, I’d have it everyday. Sea Green Cafe’s Grilled Cheese did not disappoint. I loved the cheese and the slight hint of garlic. I especially loved the chips they came with. One drawback from delivery, I guess, would be the slight sogginess of the bread. (It probably had something to do with it being packed immediately).
The Fried Quesong Puti Sticks were amazing! I loved them so much I wanted to order another batch! They were perfect for my already cheesy Grilled Cheese.
The Nutella Stuffed French Toast was saved for my sister, Gillian. She says it was sweet and interesting. The swipe of nutella just brings an interesting taste to the french toast. It was served with mangoes & a sliced banana and she just loved it.
The Lemon Cream Tart was.. interesting. The zest of the lemon just packs a punch of sourness the cream will help balance out. I liked biting into the different flavors.
Overall, Sea Green Cafe’s dishes were amazing and I am interested in trying out their other dishes, too! foodpanda also proved that they’ve got Davao covered when it comes to food delivery. For more details about foodpanda and Sea Green Cafe, check out their facebook pages here & here!
That’s it for this week’s foodtrip!
