All Boxed-Up: A Food Trip

There is an argument that Davao is still a small city where nothing happens however, the last few years have definitely countered that. From concept cafes to food markets to raves, Davao City has proved itself worthy of being called a metropolis. When it comes to trends, Davao makes sure to catch up.

Here is where the rise of the food parks come in. Trailer Food Parks have been a giant trend in Manila in early 2016. They have been every millennial’s IG-feed dream; bright, hip, and filled with all sorts of photograph-worthy nooks and of course, dishes.

Boxed Up Davao is no different. Boasting of at least 30 purveyors selling varied dishes, Boxed Up brings the Davao food scene to a whole new level.

I was lucky enough to be invited to their media night and here are the shots I took:

Boxed Up Davao has the following purveryors: Aling Foping’s Halo-Halo Express, Amaze Balls, Baba Ganoush, Brotatoes, Burger Bin, Balut Joint, Rib Shots, Batchoy King, Cheddy’s Ice Cream Sandwich, Hav Sambal-U, Crazynachos, Chinese Box, Chicky Avenue, Calle Porkie, Chickenini, Flamingo, Everything Kambing, Tanya’s Hopia, Lemonwood Café Cabin, Liempo Q, Logan’s, Melt, Murakami Ramen, #pantulaq, Rolls Roy’s, Sisagbai, Swirls, Street Taco, Surf Scoter, Sushi Box, Thai Express, Tuna in a Basket, #upperdeq, and Wing Side Davao.

This place screams “INSTAGRAM FEED”

The creative architecture of which this food park was built would not be given justice without the sumptuous and interesting dishes offered by each stall. Here are some of the photos I was able to take before I wolfed them all down:

Visit Boxed Up along Surveyor Road, Doña Vicenta Village in Davao City. Have a foodie friday with the gang and try them out! ✨
